It has been a long time since my last post. Shame on me. My mom must be very disapointed. I just wanted to mention a few things that have been going on in the world of art, animation and my work. First off, everything is still going well for me down here in LA. We are launching an online show here titled DeadlineTV. If you have a chance check it out. The first episode will cover how the real life PIXAR CARS were created. These cars are totally sweet, so don’t miss out.
Second, I went to a screen writers conference here in LA. The main feature, at least for me, was the presentations by the talented writers and directors of PIXAR.
Work is going well. I had the chance to see one of my 3D models turned into a real object. The picture is a helmet we made for Team Custeau. I also just made my first TV commercial. The commercial is for Standard Tools and Equipment and should be airing on the Speed Channel currently. This is the long version.
Nothing too special, but for a one man production crew and 8 hours of work, I gotta say I am pretty pleased. The other big project I worked on was some designing for a Eddie Paul customized Yamaha SX23o boat. The details and my latest exciting video can be found on the DeadlineTV site.
Finally, I am working on 2 new Character rigs. One is a cartoon version of my boss Eddie Paul, and the other is for a CG Talk rigging challenge. Thus far I have the head and blendshapes modeled for my Eddie character.
Next I will begin the body. I am making this character with the ambitious goal
of creating a series of animated shorts.
The CG talk Rig is a female Huntress. The challenge is broken into monthly segments. Part 1 is the back.

Thats all for now. Happy New Year.
