Griffin's Nest

Well everyone, the time has come to make the big move to LA. I got an offer to go work at EP Industries as sort of there resident artist. I am a bit nervous I must say. Not so much about the job, because I know my six years of education will get me through this no problem. What scares me is rent. Do you know how much it costs to live down there!!? Wow! Should be a good time though and I can not wait to get started. I really hope I start earning more in short order however. As it stands I will be able to cover rent and bills, but I am not so sure about food. Guess I can stand to lose a few pounds anyhow. I will keep you all posted as this develops. Anyhow, I had a really great time on my visit to LA this last Tuesday and Wednsday. I got to see a lot of cool stuff and meet some truely talented people. Shannon took me to R&H and I got to meet Simon, whos work can be seen all over the Star Wars series. I also got to see the Batmobile and the XXX car, which will be about 20 feet from my soon to be work space. Thats it for now. Thanks for reading.

My next step with my Zabeeba model is going to be the sculpting and rigging of the facial blend shapes. One of the best recources I have found for anyone undergoing this process, is the book Stop Staring by Jason Osipa. So in preperation I have been working with Jasons facial rig, in order to get a feel for the way it is set up. Here is a test I did.
