I decided to enter this months 10Second Club animation contest. This is a great contest that allows you to get your animation seen and sometimes critiqued. This months dialogue is a bit intense, as it includes four people. Thats a lot of animating. Four people in a scene is the most I have done so far. I am learning that even though not every character is talking all the time, you still have to animate them doing something or they look dead. Heres what I have so far. Just the key poses, a little in-between and some offseting. I have not started hands and faces just yet. Tell me what you think so far.
I updated this piece. New Guy
This week’s project was the creation of some video game style action loops. I did the walk, run, idle, jump, attack, hit, and death. This project was a lot of fun as well as a challenge. Animating these straight foreword actions allowed me to look at how the characters personality would effect how they preformed the action as compared to some one else. Being that I set my deadline for only 1 week or roughly 40 hours inspired me to work faster and more efficiently. I also tried to keep key frames to a minimum, as would be beneficial in game production. I great help in this endeavor was the Human Motion Show by Rhino House. This is a comprehensive collection of movement reference in DVD format. I would like to thank my mom for buying me this video. Anyhow, please check out the animation and let me know what you think.
I did some more work on the Zabeebo rig. This time the blendshapes are not included to save on file size. I am still having a minor yet somewhat irritating broblem with the arms. If anyone who knows whats what could check it out, I would appreciate it.
I made some more changes to the site again today. I found I was running out of room on my animations page so I kind of simplified the look as to make more space for content. Its not as pretty, but with 2 animations a week coming out of my poor tired computer, I had to make some sacrafices. I will add some small pictures later to provide visual aid. For now please enjoy my 2 new works,“Suntory Time” and the “Smut Reader”.
